The place kept for a guest

In a Bangladeshi home, there is almost always room for one more person at the table.

Room for one more

  • Someone brings another plate.
  • Someone offers the best piece of fish.
  • A mother asks you to eat a little more, even when you have already said you are full.

This is how many of us first understood generosity. Through food, through preparation, through the care someone took before we arrived.

BHOJ is being created to honour that care. Bhoj is the Bengali word for a feast.

Why Bangladesh

Because this is where we learned what it means to welcome someone.

We have memories of wedding tables, Eid lunches and family gatherings that stretched into the evening. We remember the dishes brought out for visitors, and the cupboard where the special pieces were kept. Those objects mattered because of the people and the occasions around them.

Our founding question was simple. Could we create something here that carries the same weight, with the attention and presentation we admire in the world’s great luxury houses?

We believe Bangladesh deserves to be recognized for the things it imagines, designs and makes meaningful. BHOJ is our contribution to that ambition.

What we want to create

A collection chosen for your home, a presentation that honours its recipient, and a story that feels personally yours.

  • The dinnerware and cutlery

are chosen for the meals you serve and the people you gather.

  • The walnut chest

gives the collection a place to belong.

  • The bronze plaque

holds a name, a dedication or a date worth remembering.

  • The design film

lets you see the thought behind what you are holding.

Every detail should say the same thing: someone took care over this, because it was meant for you.

Giving a moment its form

Perhaps you are giving your parents something worthy of everything they have given you.

Perhaps two people you love are beginning a home together. Perhaps you have worked for years to build a life of your own, and want to mark it with something personal.

You can choose from our collections, compose a set around your needs, or commission something that begins with your own idea. Our role is to listen carefully and carry that meaning through to the finished presentation.

When the table is set

The most meaningful chapter of a collection begins at your table.

When the chest opens again. When the table is set. When familiar voices fill the room, and an ordinary evening becomes one you remember.

That is what we hope BHOJ will become in your home: something you reach for when the people around your table deserve to feel special.

Our history starts here

We are a new house, founded with an ambition to build something lasting from Bangladesh.

We cannot offer you a century of BHOJ history. We can offer our commitment to the beginning: thoughtful design, honest descriptions of our materials and making, careful presentation, and attention to the people who place their trust in us.

The first collections will become our first chapter. What happens around your table will become theirs.
